41 Years Prison for Cyber Fraud
In the mid of 2008, a Pakistani court sentenced a man to 41-year prison term for credit card fraud. The Special Banking Court in Lahore senteced Muhammad Khan alias Ali Bhai and also imposed a fine of Rs.500,000 on him.
According to a statement issued by the Cyber Crime Division of the FIA, Khan was arrested from Lahore and a laptop, counterfeit credit cards of 20 International banks and data of various global banks were seized from his posession.
Khan cheated people with the help of three agents who are still at large. Assistant Director of the Cyber Crimes unit, Zia Islam said this isthe first time that a Cyber Criminal has been punished so severely in Pakistan.
