SMEs to get cheap software
Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) is now offering accounting software to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at subsidised price, to enable SMEs enjoy a comprehensive computerised accounting solution at cost effective rates.
Adnan Rasheed, regional business coordinator, while addressing a seminar organised by SMEDA, Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and Bank Alfalah last month, reported that SMEDA will charge only 3,000 rupees from SMEs for software and 2,500 rupees would be paid by the government. It was further said that the software would offer accounting solutions to 67 kinds of businesses. SMEDA will also provide training to three employees of each copany after installation of the software in their respective computer systems.
